How Sellers Misrepresent Their Products to Buyers
|
- Did the used car dealership "forget" to tell
you that your car had been involved in a prior wreck? Did they tell you it had 10,000 miles on it when it really had 110,000.
- Did the used care dealership tell you that the
automobile you just purchased had never been involved in an accident, only to find out that it had a "salvage title"
- Did the car dealership tell you that the
extended warranty you purchased would cover engine failure, and it didn't
- Did the contractor you hired to remodel your
bathroom knock holes in your wall and then refuse to repair them
- Did the shop that changed your oil forget to
put the oil plug back into your engine and now you need a new engine?

The above list is only a small example of the type of acts the DTPA protects you from. If you
purchased or leased a good or service, and the seller misrepresented the quality of the good or
service, chances are the DTPA will protect you.
Under the DTPA, you are usually entitled to recover: (1) Money Damages; (2) Attorney Fees;
and (3) sometimes additional or punitive damages. In some situations, you can even make the
Seller buy the defective good back, and pay your attorney.
Dan and Geoff will aggressively assert your rights under the DTPA. We have handled many
cases, probably like yours, and have the experience and expertise to quickly and aggressively
assert your rights against dishonest salespersons and dishonest sales tactics.
The DTPA protects consumers, who
purchase or lease goods or services. Don't
let the seller or service provider take
advantage of you. Make the Seller honor
his word. Don't tolerate the defective
product you just purchased. The rights
you have under the DTPA are YOURS,
but you must enforce these rights.
